We recently had a client who was struggling with a challenging acoustic environment. They had already spent countless hours moving their speakers around, trying to fix a sound that was too boomy and lacking clarity. Here's how we turned their living room into a world-class listening space and changed their mind:
Initial Assessment & The Problem: The room suffered from excessive bass boom and poor high-frequency response, making for a muddy and unenjoyable listening experience. Our in-situ acoustic measurements pinpointed the exact issues.
Our Engineered Solution: We developed a comprehensive acoustic treatment plan. Notice the elegant bass absorption panels strategically placed in the front corners of the room. These are crucial for taming unruly low-end frequencies. To inject life back into the high frequencies and create a more expansive soundstage, we installed our beautiful Ekustik® Parametric Queen panels on the front wall, flanking the TV. Their unique wavy design isn't just visually striking; it's engineered to scatter sound waves effectively.
Targeted Frequency Control: Beyond the visible panels, we also integrated custom-tuned resonators on the side walls and the ceiling. These were specifically designed to absorb problematic frequencies around 120 Hz, further refining the bass response.
