How to use the Foundation Home studio pack
Create a reflection-free zone (RFZ)
Broadband absorbers on the first reflection points are a must.
The goal is to eliminate sound reflections from the initial points on the sidewalls and ceiling. Place the Woody Queen absorbers in the following positions:
Sidewalls between the speakers and the listening spot. The middle of the panel should be at ear height.
Ceiling panels are placed between the speakers and the listening spot.
Panels on he front wall are placed behind the speakers at ear height.
You always start by creating RFZ in your listening position by absorbing the sound bouncing from the first reflection points on the sidewalls and ceiling. We want to make the front of the room to be the ‘dead end’ by absorbing as many sound reflections in the front part of the room as we can.
This will ensure you eliminate the first sound reflections that affect the direct sound from your speakers. It is the biggest bang for the buck.
